The Bowspring practice reflects 7 principles of Zen philosophy, which describe a harmonious state of mind-body that gives access to higher levels of universal consciousness, radiant health, and the natural artistic beauty of daily life.

The 7 Zen principles in Bowspring practice:
1. Simplicity (Kanso) – essential nature of the mind-body; reduced variables in the mathematical equation; efficiency of movement; purity of action aligned with Nature.

2. Naturalness (Shizen) – in harmony with Nature; reflecting the flowing directionality of crystal, water, breath, light, and vibrational lifeforce (Ki).

3. Elegance (Shibui) – divine beauty of refined simplicity; high vibration of expression; sophisticated beauty integrated with Kanso.

4. Asymmetry (Fukinsei) – non-linear; wavy, non-rigid sameness; dynamic, changeable, flowing;

Dynamic symmetry; spontaneous wildness of Nature

5. Subtlety (Yugen) – Sublimity; mystery; depth; profound complexity beyond rational understanding

6. Tranquility (Seijaku) – quietness; slow movement, calm, smooth waves

7. Emptiness (Kū) – spaciousness, openness

Simplicity of Bowspring practice:

·      Minimal amount of effort to find the balance between Source Current and Freedom Current in every pose. Maximum results with minimal effort = efficiency

·      There is no unnecessary movements or extra flourishes or embellishments of movements or complexity of forms which reduce the balanced alignment or whole body awareness.

·      Avoid unnecessary distractions when practicing –

·      No overthinking when practicing.

·      Simple, essential intention – flow with Nature to increase Life force.

·      Simple attitude – calm and centered mindset.
